STEX Research

Stex Research was established as a multi-therapeutic research center to provide reliable and meaningful clinical studies to the South Texas community. Our proven model, and combined years of experience, affords us the ability to provide our patients and sponsors with valuable expertise in numerous medical conditions. Stex Research represents an ongoing and growing network community physicians enthusiastically support our research efforts.

We provide access for thousands of South Texas residents who are interested participating in clinical trials and research studies that focus on primarily "outpatient" studies in multiple therapeutic areas and diseases.

Why participate in a clinical study?

  • Study-related exams at no cost
  • Study medication at no charge
  • Reimbursement for time and travel expenses for most studies
  • Contributing to the development of new therapies and learning more about a medical condition and treatment options

By participating in clinical studies, you can receive medical services at no cost and learn more about your medical condition. As a clinical study patient, you are often compensated for your time and travel through stipend, and more importantly you will have your condition assessed and receive medication free of charge. You will receive diagnostic testing at no charge and careful evaluation by a board-certified medical doctor.

At STEX Research, we try to make volunteering a positive experience for every participant. Our experience staff understands and recognizes that all participants in medical studies are volunteers; therefore, we respect every participant’s time and commitment.

Participation is confidential. We do not share personal patient information from our database with any outside individuals or companies without your consent
Participation is always voluntary and participants can choose to withdraw from a study at any time.
Subject safety and well being is a primary concern. An accurate and complete medical history is required to ensure safety as well as to determine if the person is an appropriate study match.
Participation in a clinical trial is based on inclusion/exclusion criteria. Some studies require a person to have a specific condition with specific symptoms, while others are for healthy individuals interested in preventative care.
Length of participation varies. Some studies may last 4 weeks while others can last up to 3 years. Participation in clinical trials is limited to one study at a time with at least 30 days between each study.
Study opportunities may vary each week. You may not qualify for a particular currently enrolling study. However, the following week there may be a similar study (or in the future) with different eligibility criteria.
